Something happened in the Netherlands that no one could have predicted. It all began during a severe economic crisis. People lost their jobs, businesses went bankrupt, and there was a lot of unrest in society. Protests and riots broke out everywhere. In the middle of this chaos, General Martinus appeared, a charismatic and cunning leader.

Martinus knew exactly how to play on the fear and dissatisfaction of the people. He promised to put an end to the chaos and make the country great again. His speeches were powerful and convincing. People listened to him, because they longed for stability and security. His following grew at a rapid pace.

A power takeover

Martinus was more than just a good and charismatic speaker. Behind the scenes he worked together with the Order of the New Order, also known as ONO. This group consisted of loyal leaders with different backgrounds: businesspeople, media personalities and ideologists. Together they formed an elite class that was determined to seize power.

The power seizure of Martinus and the ONO began with a clever political move. During an important vote in parliament they leaked a major scandal that cast many influential politicians in a bad light. This scandal led to a breakdown of trust in the government. As the political chaos grew, Martinus presented himself and his followers as the only solution.

Martinus used his connections in the media to expand his influence. He launched a large-scale propaganda campaign that spread his message everywhere. He gained support from influential businesspeople who promised economic stability in exchange for political power. Within a few weeks they had manipulated public opinion and taken over most of the influential positions in the government.

The first weeks of Martinus's rule were frightening. He immediately introduced strict measures to maintain his power. Curfews and street patrols were introduced. People suspected of resistance disappeared without a trace. The media were censored and only messages supporting Martinus and the ONO were broadcast.

In the streets of Dutch cities large posters hung with the face of General Martinus. "Our Savior" was written beneath them in thick, black letters. The ONO leaders held speeches in which they proclaimed their nationalist ideology. They said that the country would become great again, but that sacrifices were necessary for this. They also pointed out groups that they saw as a threat.

The days under the rule of General Martinus were difficult. Fear prevailed everywhere. People no longer trusted each other, because you never knew who was working for Martinus and who was secretly against him. For many, resistance seemed unthinkable. Yet there were a few who were secretly making plans to fight back.

Among them were six scouts: Lisa, Arjen, Layla, Michael, Diede and Ismael. Their lives had changed drastically since the power seizure. They had lost friends and family to the new regime and saw how their country was being oppressed by fear and propaganda. In the beginning there was doubt. What could they do against such a powerful network as the ONO? But as time went on the realization grew: they could no longer sit still and watch.
