Meet the heroes of the game

Six scouts each with their own story

Every choice they make stems from character. But, how firmly do you stick to your choice?

Hi, I am Lisa

I have always had a strong sense of justice. It is important to me that everything and everyone is treated equally.

For years I have been active in scouting and can therefore organise and arrange things well. I proudly wear my scouting neckerchief and show that I am a scout. Whatever happens, scouting must always continue.

  • Those in power quickly see me as a target.
  • Because I know what I want, I can often give my opinion quickly.
  • Justice is very important to me!
  • The group sees me as a natural leader.

My name is Arjen

My family is seen as unwanted by those in power because we belong to a minority group that is seen as a 'problem'.

I have been an active scouting member of the group for years. I like to show that I am a scout, but I hide my scout uniform and neckerchief when necessary. I am now afraid of those in power.

  • Those in power see me as unwanted.
  • It costs me effort to stay strong, no matter how hard I try.
  • Helping others is very important to me.
  • My positive attitude is being put to the test, I have become quite afraid.

I am Layla

I was shy when I joined scouting, but grew into an independent girl thanks to my scouting friends and adventures. Scouting is very important to me and I would not want to miss a single meeting.

My family lives abroad. I communicate with them only through digital means.

  • The communication to and from my family is being read and listened to by those in power.
  • It is easy for me to apply scouting techniques.
  • I am often daydreaming, because I do worry and think about my family.
  • It is important to me to achieve my goal. I am very driven in that regard.

Diede is my name

I am often afraid and try to stand out as little as possible. It is difficult for me to see how Arjen and his family are doing.

Scouting does me good because here I matter, here I can be myself. But I do not like to show others that I belong to scouting. If I do not have to, I do not wear my scout uniform or neckerchief.

  • I am not a problem for those in power.
  • It is important to me to be able to take care of everyone and offer support where needed.
  • The new situation is frightening. Yet I try not to let myself be guided by these fears.
  • You will not often see and hear me in the foreground, but I am certainly present in the background.

Just call me Michael

That is what my parents named me and I am the joker of the group. My parents support the new rulers and think that the changes are good, and I mostly believe that too. I keep the atmosphere positive with my humor and optimism.

  • I am not a problem for those in power.
  • I echo my parents, because I think the changes will turn out positively.
  • Sometimes I doubt the new rules and find myself torn between my friends and parents.
  • A good atmosphere in the group is important to me.

Hi, my name is Ismael

I am a real thinker and always think carefully before I do anything. I look up to Lisa and admire her courage. I prefer to be cautious and do not like to take risks.

I prefer to take the safe path. It is important not to make hasty decisions. Because I sometimes think too long I occasionally go along with Lisa's ideas.

  • I am not a problem for those in power.
  • When we face a choice, it must first be discussed thoroughly. Weighing all the pros and cons against each other. This way we prevent hasty decisions.
  • The safest path carries the fewest risks, I think.
  • It is important to think things through carefully yourself first.
